Hi, I'm Libby.

​

Libby Hubscher is an author of romantic dramedies and a scientist. She studied biology at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and holds a doctor of philosophy in molecular toxicology from North Carolina State University. Her work has appeared online and in textbooks, scientific journals, and literary journals. In 2018, her short story "The Unwelcome Guest" was long-listed for the Wigleaf Top 50.  She lives near Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband, two kids, and a menagerie of pets. Fun Facts about me

1.

I mostly watch two kinds of shows:
The Great British Bake Off and Mandarin-language dramas.

2.

I have a black belt in karate (and also coffee drinking).
I don't practice martial arts anymore because I've had too many concussions.

3.

Meet Me in Paradise was the sixth book I wrote.
I'm working on my ninth book now. My eighth book is called Play for Me -- an enemies to lovers version of New Girl at a New England boarding school -- and comes out June 2023.

4.

My husband and I met playing co-ed softball.
He knocked me off second base and I knocked him off his feet, sort of.

5.

Believe it or not, books are not always the the longest thing I write for work.
Global value dossiers can be tomes.

6.

My favorites movies are:
Something's Gotta Give, Wimbledon, and House of Flying Daggers.

7.

I am searching for the perfect grain, dairy, and egg-free cherry pie.
